DR. ALLAN DELLABELLA

I graduated from Life University in 1985. Life University is at times the largest or second largest chiropractic school in the country. I felt Life University gave student doctors the ability to attend more private seminars for additional training. I practiced in Deerfield Beach for four years before moving the practice to Boca Raton, where I have been in the same location for the last 31 years.

Early in my chiropractic university training I realized that the ability to treat patients differed from doctor to doctor and that each patient’s needs differed even more. Instead of being satisfied with the techniques offered in the university setting during my academic time, I spent most of my weekends and time between semesters enrolled in more advanced technique courses off campus. As a result I use many different and advanced techniques that enable me to achieve the results my patients require.

I am one of the most respected and accomplished chiropractors in the United States. Professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, PGA, LPGA, Tennis, NASCAR, Bowling, Wrestling, Soccer, Cycling, Motocross, and Surfing have received my services, and the U.S. Olympic team requested that I serve as their chiropractor. I was also invited to head a U.S. Delegation to China that taught chiropractic techniques to Chinese physicians. I am a regular expert witness in many major auto injury cases.

My interest in a more natural means of health care started when I was approximately 11 years old. I had told my mother that my head hurt, she in turn gave me two children’s aspirins. Two weeks later I told her I had a stomach ache, she in turn reached for the same bottle of aspirin. I in turn then asked her if the same pill works on my head and my stomach, then how does it know which way to go when swallow it. I then realized that medication travels throughout the body and only a small percentage of it actually ends up at the targeted body part. It didn’t sit well with me that the rest of my body was affected by the pills even though I had no problems in the other locations.

Towards the end of my high school days a friend told me they went to a chiropractor and described what had been done in the office and how good he then felt, I found his story very intriguing. A few days later I went to the same chiropractor just to talk to him, After a thorough explanation of what and how chiropractic works I was completely sold and my career path was set. Even though my family at that time urged me to enroll in medical school, I have not looked back once since then. I absolutely still love the feeling of healing patients without the side affects of medications.

With all of this being said I practice as a doctor in a community of other types of specialists. While chiropractic can cure many health issues, there are limits to what can be accomplished and when needed I work closely with the rest of the health care professionals. Our office regularly receives referrals from all aspects of doctors; family doctors, internists, orthopedists, neurologists, dentists (T.M.J), pediatricians, podiatrists, rheumatologists, OBGYN’s, surgeons and more. On the same hand I also refer my patients to the proper specialists as needed as well as testing such as MRI’s when called for. The bottom line is the patients’ health always comes first and foremost in our practice.

Chiropractor Denise Gimbel

DR. DENISE GIMBEL

Dr. Denise Gimbel is a chiropractor at Shadowood Chiropractic Center. She started working there in February 2022. Originally from a small town called Pitman in New Jersey, she attended Life University in Marietta, GA, where she earned her Chiropractic degree in 1997. After completing her education, she moved to Boca Raton, FL, and has been practicing Chiropractic in the area for the past 26 years.

Dr. Gimbel’s inspiration for becoming a chiropractor came from her brother, who was also a chiropractor. She experienced the benefits of chiropractic care when he adjusted her for headaches as a teenager, which eliminated the need for painkillers. She loves interacting with her patients and finds great joy in helping them feel better.

Dr. Gimbel knew she was in the right profession when going to work became something she looked forward to, rather than a chore. Her professional interests lie in providing relief to patients suffering from headaches, neck pain, low back pain, and sciatica, among others.

Outside of work, she is a widow and a single mom raising her two daughters. They share a love for traveling and have visited numerous incredible places around the world. Dr. Gimbel also has a passion for ballroom and Latin dancing, which she picked up after her husband’s passing. Dancing has become a way for her to meet amazing people, exercise, and have fun.
